Bio

I am a BACP registered therapist with a diverse range of experience. Alongside practicing privately, I currently work with adults in two trauma services for survivors of sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse. The first of which is Lifecentre in West Sussex. The second is Mankind UK in which I am part of an initiative to provide an online therapy service nationwide for men who have experienced sexual abuse.

I took my formal training and post-graduate study in Humanistic Psychotherapy and Counselling at Brighton University. Following this I have maintained a consistent emphasis on additional training, most notably in certifications in working with complex trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder.

I have volunteered with the national charity Cruse Bereavement Care, giving bereavement counselling both from a central office and in people’s homes. At this time I was also working in the NHS at Worthing Hospital, delivering therapy to doctors and nurses struggling either with personal or work difficulties.

After leaving the NHS I developed a counselling service for Dv8 Sussex, a vocational college for 16-25 year old students, and delivered therapy across their campuses. This service worked in conjunction with the college’s Special Education Needs department and was designed to help neurodiverse students access therapy.

I have further experience working with young people via Oasis Project, in which I  supported families affected by substance addictions. This included play therapy with children and integrative creative therapy for adolescents alongside work with parents to address attachment difficulties.
